New site, new writing, and a rare collector’s edition made from Arctic history.

As usual, we just can’t sit still.

We’ve quietly rebuilt our website over the past few weeks. Not just to make things look better, but to reflect where Soi Books is heading.

This is the start of a broader branding shift. We're still the same publishing house focused on art, subculture, and visual storytelling, but we’re growing. Into curating, collecting, commissioning. Into connecting our books to bigger stories. Into building something that lasts.

The new site is cleaner, easier to navigate, and a better home for everything we’re working on, books, editions, artwork, podcasts, and process.

New Stories, New Writing. So yes, we’ve added a lot more writing to the site.

Cimarron: Update + Presales

We're still building momentum for Cimarron, our graphic novel with Dwayne Fields, Shuning Ji, and Sophie McVeigh. Originally, we planned to launch the Kickstarter this summer but the reality is, we need more time. More eyes on the project. More collectors lined up. A stronger base.

So we’re shifting the Kickstarter to later this year (more on that soon), but in the meantime:

• The Founder’s Edition is now available to pre-order directly from our site

This first edition is limited, hand-finished, and the key to getting the book made.

Own a Piece of Polar History
This isn’t just a collector’s edition, it’s a cultural milestone.

The Cimarron Founder’s Edition is bound in original expedition fabric from the Arctic tent used by Dwayne Fields, the UK’s first Black polar explorer. That tent sheltered him in -40°C storms at the Magnetic North Pole. Now, it lives on in the spine of this book.

Each copy is hand-bound, screenprinted, and signed by Dwayne, illustrator Shuning Ji, and writer Sophie McVeigh. Your name will also be printed in the book as a founding backer - Strictly limited to 250 copies.
